I’ve long known that I’d love to live by the ocean, at least once in my lifetime. I love the sandy blue hues, sea breezes, and most of all, the sound of the waves. I’m fully aware that spring hasn’t even arrived yet, but I just can’t help dreaming of summer at the beach!
Given the current colder weather, I love the idea of mixing muted ocean blues with a menu and setting that’s appropriate for late winter. The result is layered fabrics, toned-down florals, and warm, comforting dishes- exactly what I imagine a winter day at the beach to be like.

Sarah, that was a blast from the past for me; was unaware of this blog, thank you so much! I’m sooo happy to get to know another Torontonian on the net!! I can even picture where precisely you go shopping for these fresh products in Toronto, to assemble this meal… (it’s like confronting my previous life…)
Subscribed to her blog and look forward to learning more…
Have a great day!
PS. I love so much your description of life by the ocean. And I always associate the ocean with a warm place (for example any place between Vancouver and San Diego). So sad to say it, but Ontario lake (where I lived) does not have the ocean’s blue hues exactly and it’s breeze can be icy-cold (which some years ago made my fingers freeze in seconds while making a picture with a digital camera; my skin was ‘so frozen’ that I needed a doctor to help).
So vibrant and beautiful!! I just love that blue dress!! Gorgeous table setting as well!
