Three weeks from tomorrow, I will be in Mexico! Right after I graduated from college I spent a couple years working in Washington D.C. at a consulting firm. I made some of the greatest friends of my life at that job- the kind of friendships that last through months of not being in touch, or now long distances. The kind of girls you can talk to about absolutely anything, and get ridiculously silly in the process. Most of the group happened to be together in Brooklyn for one fateful day this summer, and on that day decided a girl’s beach trip was completely necessary. We quickly settled on Tulum, research ensued, and before I knew it our flights were booked and we’d booked our stay at this amazing hotel. I can’t wait to dig my toes in the sand, stuff myself with guacamole and margaritas, and do nothing but relax for four days with these ladies. I’ve never been too good at taking small trips here and there, but this year have really made an effort to as I truly think their necessary. I have a hard time relaxing or really taking a break if I’m anywhere near my desk or even my home state, I’d say! Going to a completely different setting for a few days really forces my mind to completely disconnect. Also, it’s Mexico.
But here’s where I need your help! Have you ever been to Tulum or near there in Mexico? Have any dining, beach, etc recommendations (with emphasis on the dining of course)? You guys always have the best input, so let’s dish!
